Meet Mark
State Representative Mark Walker serves the 53rd District as a full-time legislator after a successful career as a financial industry executive, entrepreneur, and management consultant. A Vietnam veteran, Mark is a strong supporter and advocate for veterans, and has volunteered much of his civic life to advocating for the homeless.
In Springfield, Mark serves on many committees including Veterans' Affairs, Revenue & Finance, and is the Chairperson of the State Government Administration committee.
With his successful business background, Mark has focused on small business reforms and legislation improving and expanding Illinois' diverse and innovative economy. He believes that Illinois truly is a strong state and is fighting for a stronger 53rd District and a stronger Illinois.
